The Process Fixer Approach
At HPT by DTS, we’re proud to be the only certified providers of The Process Fixer Methodology in Australia and New Zealand. This unique methodology is designed to help organisations optimise their processes while fostering team alignment and empowerment. Rooted in the proven M4 framework—Map, Measure, Manage, and Mobilise—our approach identifies inefficiencies, implements actionable improvements, and delivers sustainable results.
The M4 Framework
The Process Fixer Methodology uses the M4 framework to transform organisational processes and drive impactful change:
1. Map
We collaborate with your team to map out your core business processes. This visual representation creates clarity and consensus about how work is currently being performed, highlighting areas of inefficiency, bottlenecks, or confusion. Mapping lays the foundation for a structured and inclusive improvement journey.
2. Measure
The Measure step ensures progress is tracked and success is defined. This begins with setting a Process Capability Goal (a SMART goal), aligning it to areas of improvement, and tracking progress through key milestones. Organisations participate in regular check-ins at 30, 60, and 90 days post-workshop, using "Pulse reports" to monitor progress and uncover additional insights.
3. Manage
The Manage step empowers organisations to optimise processes by focusing on the system, not just the people. Teams are taught how to monitor performance metrics, make data-informed adjustments, and shift from directive leadership to fostering suggestions for improvement. By consistently refining processes and re-mapping workflows as needed, organisations move from merely sufficient to highly efficient operations.
4. Mobilise
The Mobilise step activates process improvement solutions throughout the organisation. By equipping teams with systems thinking tools and techniques, organisations are empowered to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and recognise risks or opportunities. Mobilisation fosters a culture of continuous improvement, where employees take ownership of their work and actively pursue enhancements.

How it Works
A typical Process Triage® engagement includes:
- One-Day Facilitated Workshop: Led by certified facilitators, this intensive session involves your organisation’s process experts.
- Action-Result Map (AR Map): A visual representation of the current process and proposed improvements.
- Report & Recommendations: A report is compiled highlighting any actions and recommendations.
- Improvement Proposals (optional): A prioritised list of actionable steps designed to maximise efficiency and results.
Process Fixer Methodokgy is not about process engineering; it’s about facilitating meaningful discussions within your organisation. This methodology draws on the knowledge and expertise of your own team to map processes, identify pain points, and prioritise solutions. We guide the conversation, helping your team take ownership of the outcomes and creating a clear, actionable plan to move forward.
